How To Win Bingo
Any game of gambling will inevitably involve talks of strategy. The strategy of playing any games involves planning a particular way of playing a game, just like the basic strategy in blackjack. The word strategy can also point to the things a player does or does not do which can increase his chances of winning. What has been said above doesn’t always have the same meaning, especially when you are looking at a game like bingo and other members of the ‘lotto games’ family, where chance is everything!
Chance and luck
Since it’s a game of chance, this effectively means that there is no way that a particular player can steer the course of the game. In the case of bingo, this effectively means that there is no way that you can influence what number is being drawn from the box. The drawing of a number is a random process. Theirs is absolutely no way in which you can predict or influence the number being drawn out. A player winning a game of bingo does so due to chance and luck, not because of following any particular strategy or with special skills.
As every number has the same chance of getting selected, this effectively means that every card has the same chance of containing the winning number. The more cards that you purchase, the more chances that you have of getting the winning cards. This is precisely why you see most people trying to play as many cards as they can. The number of cards being used is the only thing that is under the control of the player, and the only way in which you can increase your chances of winning.
Therefore, a question may arise “Should a player purchase the maximum number of cards allowed?” This isn’t a recommended strategy, because cards cost money, and you may end up spending a lot of money, but may not necessarily win with any of the cards!
Keep this in mind
Bingo players should keep 2 things in mind: the size of the pot up for grabs, and the number of people in the hall. It would be absolutely foolish to spend so much money on buying cards when the size of the pot is smaller than the amount you spend. You would make a net loss even if you won the whole pot. The player should compare the amount of the expected prize with the cost of the card for every game when arriving at the best number of cards to be bought.
People on the tables
The other thing to consider is the number of people playing. It would be a good idea to have more cards when there aren’t a lot of people playing and the cost of the cards being purchased is lesser than the pot itself. The player has a higher chance of getting the pot if there are, say 10 players rather than 150 players. Looking at the number of cards that are being played, then you could say that there is something called the ‘winning bingo strategy’. This is surely something that a player can do to increase chances of winning.
